Jay Nussbaum is a highly experienced real estate attorney, with particular expertise in mortgage law. He has counseled people who were under the threat of foreclosure and helped others to negotiate mortgage modification agreements, and has represented banks and real estate investors as well. He also has extensive expertise in commercial leasing, real estate acquisition and development, complex transactions, easements and licenses and condominium and co-ops. He is former General Counsel to Mercury Capital Corporation, a New York City-based mortgage bank, and has transacted hundreds of millions of dollars of business.
