I'm a doctor of medicine. Cancer specialist. Specialist in medical oncology & radiation therapy. I have also a long experience of answering questions in this field from all over the World on the INTERNET. I have done so for more than 10 years on Askme.com (no longer existing - answered around 4500 questions there), AllExperts.com & Kasamba.com/LivePerson.com and helping students on Brainmass.com . All with high notes of appreciation from those who have asked (on AllExperts with notes well above 9.5 points of 10 possible in ALL categories!). On AllExperts I have answered around 11000 questions. I'm now retired after a stroke that left me partly paralyzed in my left side and I have myself had radiation therapy for a prostate cancer (in my old work place in the Karolinska University Hospital). So I will answer all questions on cancer by e-mail, chat or phone (when available) but I will NOT do any home visits. Especially not as I live in Stockholm, Sweden.
I spent part of my childhood between the ages of 5 and 7 years in Helsinki, Finland. Sadly I have forgotten most though not all of my Finnish that I learned there.

| Trained in medical oncology & radiation therapy at the department of medical oncology & radiation therapy of the Radiumhemmet, the Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden and in its satellite clinic at the South Hospital, Stockholm Sweden, 1971-1978. Also clinical experience in hematology, internal medicine, diagnostic radiology, clinical pathology, clinical cytology and gynecological oncology. Was in 1969 an exchange student to the Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel. 1982 to 1996 chief medical officer of the Royal Guards & Horse Guards Regiment & the Royal Household Brigade, Royal Swedish Army. 1972-1986 medical examiner & police surgeon, Stockholm Police Department. For many years medical consultant to the National Swedish Board of Radiation Protection. 1979 to 2003 (full time from 1996) private medical practice (oncology) in Stockholm, Sweden. Retired in 2003 after my stroke. Fluent in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and English. Good in German. Not so good but able in French. |
